What if video games were our oxygen?
Since we are at it, let’s imagine that the essence that inhabits all video games is actually a breathable substance and that when we exhale it, all types of beats come out. Living, moving digital breathable play-things that produce sound. Surely, we’d learn to manipulate it and come up with unique rhythms, songs and what-not. Just like we do smoke-rings in real life. Just way, way more drugged-out anime.
And that’s EXACTLY what “GAME FLIPS”, Ghost Wavvves’ newest EP, sounds like. May the actual world take it in. Timely it is, as this young producer has just been selected to represent Portugal in this year’s Red Bull Music Academy, taking place in Paris, and will surely share it with the other representatives from all around the globe.
Inhale it deep and don’t forget to get familiar with the myriad of characters that collaborated to bring “GAME FLIPS” to life, too (for which you’ll have to check the CREDITS and that was just our writer trying to fit in a play on words with video game credits and well you get the idea).
